Since 1991 Geoffrey L. Ricketts has become synonymous with the harp for many people in North Texas and around the world. Geoffrey can perform the usual harp fare and he specializes in his own unique style in many different types of music.

He plays Celtic as freely as he plays Jazz and his mastery of classics as well as classic rock and pop rivals that of many who play this instrument.

Mr. Ricketts has composed many pieces of original music. He is not only a harpist but he plays piano and guitar and he is a great singer as well. Many of the harpists you have to choose from in North Texas also studied with Maestro Ricketts.

He was trained in music theory, arranging, composition, and harp performance at The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. He studied with notable teachers such as Ellen Ritscher, Dan Hurley, and Rose Mary Killum.

Geoffrey developed The Geoffrey Harp Method and wrote a beginner book “The Geoffrey Harp School”, which is even used out of the U.S.A by many students in Germany.

Another field he is  researching here is music therapy services and harp music meditation.
